Modern medical research indicates that fatty liver has a direct relation with low intestines’ function. It is caused by the poor supersession of intestines. Furthermore, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, coronary heart disease, cerebral hemorrhage, depression disease are all connected with disordered hormone secretion of intestines. Intestines’ poor function can also contribute to abdominal distention, belching, astriction and frequent defecations.
Self-test the function of intestines and stomach:
1) Have no breakfast frequently,
2) Have snacks frequently,
3) Be fond of eating meat but not vegetables,
4) Drink wine often,
5) Have headache and shoulder pain,
6) Take no exercise,
7) Stay up deep into night frequently,
8) Teeth bleeding when being brushed,
9) Feel tired easily after a little movement,
10) Easy constipation,
11) Eat little stable food such as rice and bread,
12) Eat little such food as potato, sweet potato, beans and the like,
13) Have tough skin
14) Have smelly breath,
15) Get nervous and agitated easily,
16) Often pass stinky wind.
If you have less than four items of them, you have good intestines’ function. If you have 5 to 12, you have problems and you must pay attention. If you have more than 13 items, you have to see a doctor as soon as possible because your problems are serious.
The functions of intestines and stomach has a close relation with eating habits and sanitation. If one often eats too much and for too long a time at a meal, then too much food of calories are taken in, which will easily cause acute pancreatitis. Staying up deep into night frequently for a long period, or having no rational diet or having an irregular diet will lead to a poor function of stomach and intestines. Those who most probably tend to have such functional problems are the elder group, the liquor-drinking group, the IT group, the on-business group and the car-driving group.
To keep stomach and intestines young and energetic, one must pay attention to the structure of diet and sports exercise and let them have a proper rest. One also must care about the intake of beneficial bacteria that help improve the ecological micro-environment in stomach and intestines. There are three kinds of bacteria: beneficial bacteria, harmful bacteria and medium bacteria. The more beneficial bacteria there are, the healthier intestines and stomach are. Harmful bacteria are the origins of diseases.
Ways to increase beneficial bacteria:
1) Drink 100 to 150 milliliters of yogurt each time two hours after breakfast and supper;
2) Eat more fruits and vegetables containing rich fiber;
3) Massage the belly.
4) Set a day for stomach and intestines to have a rest every ten days, that is, eat 70 to 80% fully.
