A Song Of Luoxi Town, Dongkou

Situated in the interior of the Xuefeng Mountains, on the bank of the Yuan River and the ancient road connecting Hunan with Guizhou,
Luoxi, with old Yao nationality village around, borders Baoqin on the east, Wugang on the south, Shupu on the north and Qianyang on the west.

Since ancient times the Noxi River, populated with Yao people, is one of the five rivers belonging to the Yuan River water system, with primitive forests and commercial and official roads passing by.
The Baoyao River and the Gongxi River join the Yuan River; On top of the high mountain stands Puzhao Temple towering overwhelmingly over Suining.

The reflexion of mountains in the mirror-like Lumu Lake purifies people’s emotions while the thatched hut on the Bayou Stream bathed in the pine tree wind clear people off fickleness.
Gorges wind their ways into mountains like dancing dragons; field paths run across each other for villagers’s farming work.
All are made by nature in harmony, which people see happily and comfortably.
Luoxi is an old town in a valley.

A stream flowing through the town, winding corridors facing each other on either bank, hundreds of thousands of trees surrounding the town, smiling people walk in groups one after another.
Washing in the Heng Stream, you see fish and lobsters playing by your feet; Singing by the horse side, you spit out words like jades and pearls; Riding a horse freely, you have streams running with spring nearer to you.

Peach and plum trees are about to bloom and they will bear fruits in time to be harvested.
It is a convenient time to pay a revisit when the beauty displays itself again.
Thinking of the brocade-like beautiful rivers and mountains, I present this poem to comfort my lovesickness.
