Dear educated youth comrades-in-arms and revered President Wang Jianguo,
Revered President Zhu Xiaojie and friends from media,
Good morning,everyone!

‘When oranges are ripe, it is the best time one should remember.’
Not long after President Xi Jinping chaired the Talk Of Literary And Artistic Workers, this meeting starts today through careful preparations made by the Changjiang Delta Educated Youth Culture Research Association and Huzhou Branch Association. A good number of able and virtuous people are now gathering in beautiful Huzhou of Zhejiang Province. We, those from Hunan with its cultural tradition of ‘The small ego being oneself and the large ego being the country’(quoted from Huang Xing) are present at this grand meeting with a happy feeling beyond description.

‘If the way can be said, it is not an eternal way; if the name can be said, it is not an eternal name.’
Looking back at the path along which we came, we a generation of educated youths have no regret for not changing our initial mind. Educated youth culture has been sticking to such patriotic feelings as ‘being worried about all the people’ s worries first and being happy after all the people’s happiness.’ ‘As long as one can benefit his country even if he will die how will he not do so because of  misfortune?’ ‘An ordinary person is responsible for the rise and fall of his country.’  For many years, when public spirits and morals degenerated, the mass of educated young people ‘enjoyed reading whose sounds were pleasant to ears together with those of wind and rain and bore in mind the state affairs along with those of persons and families.’ With the ability to distinguish and resist the wrong and its peculiar vitality, the educated youth culture came up, was bathed in rain and rooted itself deep in earth. Today after ‘a long wearing down to a degree of being wan and thin’, it has finally greeted the spring of culture.

Thus let’ s raise our arms and shout loudly, ‘The start of a cycle often means the start of a dream.’
Let’ s raise our arms and shout loudly, ‘A beautiful dream is the unconquerable power of a national renaissance.
Let’ s raise our arms and shout loudly, ‘Only with good characters and thoughts, can we create good chapters to greet a great era.’
And let’ s raise our arms and shout loudly, ‘Though in the position of a soldier, we have strategies of a commander-in-chief, which is the most beautiful voice of the Chinese Nation.’
And again we can say, ‘Educated youth culture is a best culture that can be copied by the Chinese Nation on the land of China, and educated youths who have insisted  on fine culture till today are a most hopeful and lovely group.’
Comrades and friends,
On this occasion of gathering not easy to get, I would like to add, ‘The Year of Jiawu(referring to the Sino-Japanese War in 1895) should be remembered, the double September of the Lunar Calendar is rare to meet.’
The famous saying from a patriotic writer Yu Dafu, whom I admire in particular,  is echoing in our ears like sounding fighting drums.
‘A nation without great men appearing is the most pitiable group of creatures in the world. But if a country has great men while they are not supported, nor loved,  nor admired, then this country is a land of slaves without hope.’
Let’ s blow the vigorous assembling bugle to call our troops to advance vastly and mightily, following President Xi Jinping for a clearer political sky of China and a further all-round reform of the Party and the state.
