Shaoyang Chamber of Commerce for Agriculture & Animal Husbandry Founded and its First General Assembly convened

The founding conference of Shaoyang Chamber of Commerce for Agriculture & animal husbandry, a social organization combining agriculture, animal husbandry, agrotechny, fodder and veterinary drug production and tourism, was held in Weiyuan International Hotel , Shaoyang on November 8, 2014. Lang Yizhu, a former mayor of Shaoyang and now secretary-general of Hunan Senior S&T Workers Association and Zeng Dongyang, vice director of Shaoyang Municipal People’s Congress attended the founding ceremony, which was directed by the leadership from Shaoyang Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau and Agricultural Work Department.
The conference voted through the constitution of Shaoyang Chamber of Commerce for Agriculture & Animal Husbandry, established the first executive institution with Li Xuejun, chairman of Hunan Flyg Science & Technology., Co., Ltd. as president and Sun Xiaowu, chairman of Hunan Xuefeng Seed Industry Co., Ltd. as honorary president and passed seven rules for future operation of the organization.
First, the executive vice president Tan Shuangxiong，general manager of Hunan Essence Agrotechny Co., Ltd., spoke at the meeting about the preparative work done for the founding of the chamber of commerce. He said that as Shaoyang is a traditional agricultural city, he and other 11 entrepreneurs decided at a moment when more and more leading agricultural enterprises are emerging, to establish a chamber of commerce for agriculture and animal husbandry so as to build a bridge or a cooperative platform to connect agricultural enterprises with government departments and supply the enterprises with service before, during and after production process. With the help of the agricultural department of the municipal CCP committee and the civil Affairs Bureau the initiative was supported by the leading agricultural enterprises and now 108 enterprises have joined the organization with membership fees being over 300,000 yuan.
Li Xuejun, the first president of the chamber of commerce, declared that the organization will follow the national and local laws or regulations and observe the rules of the organization. He said there will be several important things to be done after the founding of the organization: set up an information platform, prepare to build a mutually assistant company dealing with agricultural matters, organize a strong technical service team and establish a legal service center for the chamber of commerce.
Representatives from Association of Shaoyang Chambers of Commerce and other 30 chambers of commerce came with sincere congratulations. Sun Heping, executive president of a Shaoyang Chamber of Commerce made a congratulation speech on behalf of other chambers of commerce. Professor Liu Yi, doctoral supervisor of Hunan Agricultural University, presented a 12- word message hoping the chamber of commerce run well in the future.
Finally，Lang Yizhu, secretary-general of Hunan Senior S&T Workers Association made a concluding speech. She had worked in Shaoyang for nearly 20 years before moving to another city and therefore still has strong feelings towards Shaoyang. She said she hopes all the members will work hard to make the chamber of commerce well known with a lot of healthy agricultural products.
