haoyang North Station Opened to Traffic on December 16, 2014
——
Several routes from Shaoyang downtown and its surrounding counties to Shaoyang North Station suggested

Shaoyang North Station of Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway was open to traffic on December 16, 2015, which to Shaoyang people means that the ancient city will be injected with a catalyzer of the times.  From now on, Shaoyang will cast off the image of railway traffic appendix and the improvement of traffic will definitely create for Shaoyang people a dream of prosperity and help Shaoyang flourish speedily.

In order to welcome the arrival of the historic moment, the municipal Party committee and government have already made specific arrangements: to improve traffic system from all the counties and the downtown to Shaoyang North Station located at Xinshao County; to speed up the construction of Shaoyang- Pinshang Expressway and to make sure that all the services including taxes, buses will be ready before the high speed railway is open to traffic.  But how can we get to Shaoyang North Station to catch a high speed train?

According to a manager from Shaoyang Automobile Transportation Corporation, they have sent a working team to the high speed railway stations in Changsha and Hengyang to learn from the people who are experienced in the management of high speed railways and at the same time have bought 16 new vehicles, including 14 medium-size ones with 30 seats and 2 large-size ones with 33 seats.  All this ensures that Shaoyang North Station of Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway will be a traffic hub in the hearts of 8.1 million Shaoyang people though it is far away from the downtown.

Preferred routes from downtown to North Railway Station
Because of the fact that Shaoyang – Pingshang Expressway is unable to be completed at the time when North Railway Station is open to traffic, the preferred route from downtown to Shaoyang North Station is:
Jiangbei— Cai E Road  — Xinshao No.2 Zijiang Bridge — Ring Road — 207 National Road — Emergency Passageway of Zhang-Ping Highway — L4 Connecting Line— Station Road of Shaoyang North Station — Station Square

At present, it takes two hours for people to get to North Railway Station from Shaoyang South Bus Station (78 kilometers).  After Shaoyang-Pingshang Expressway, 50 km long, is open to traffic at the end of 2015, the time is expected to be reduced to 1 hour.  From now on, passengers may take a special non-stop bus from Shaoyang’s North Bus Station or South Bus Station to Shaoyang North Railway Station. The ticket fare is 27 yuan. The departure time of the buses depends on the departure and arrival of the high speed trains.

Preferred routes for some counties to take a fast speed train
Northern parts of Dongkou, Wugang, Chengbu and Suining:
Jiangkou (Dongkou County) of Shanghai-Kunming Expressway — S312 Xupu-Longtan—Beidouxi High Speed Railway Station (Xupu County)

Jiangkou (Dongkou County) of Shanghai-Kunming Expressway —Huaihua South Railway Station (Yingkou Town, Hecheng District of Huaihua) (86 km, 1 hour 10 minutes drive)

North of Longhui:  Jinshiqiao — Xinhua South Railway Station (50 minutes drive)

South of Longhui to Shaoyang North Railway: one and a half hours to 2 hours drive (within one hour when Shaoyang-Pingshang Expressway is open to traffic.)
