A Forum Held to Seek Online Advice on Shaoyang’s Development

Yesterday afternoon, Shaoyang Mayor Gong Wenmi invited a group of netizens from Dashao Net Shaoyang Forum and other Shaoyang’s leading network media to have a discussion at the forum, which was hosted by Wang Changzhong, member of the Municipal Standing Party Committee and director of Publicity Department of CPC Shaoyang Committee and attended by Liu Yongde, secretary-general of Shaoyang Municipal Government, Chen Wenhua, director of Net Administration Office and other members from 16 departments of the municipal authorities, including the Development and Reform Committee, Traffic Police Detachment, City Management Bureau, Land and Resources Bureau.
At the beginning of the forum, Liu Yongde, secretary-general of the Municipal Government briefed all the people at the forum on Shaoyang’s social development in 2014 and the arrangements made for 2015, hoping all the netizens would continue to support Shaoyang’s development and supervise the work of the government as before.
A net friend, called Lion at the Gate of Government, made a speech titled “Being close to Grassroots and Advancing Network Politics”. Other speeches were given on the themes of “Substandard Buses Used by Yangtze Bus Co. Ltd. and Oversize and Overload Transportation on high ways” by a net friend called Celestial Soldier in June, “Speeding up Shantytowns Transformation and Building Memorial Hall for Xuefeng Battle” by Shaoyang old Wine, “Unfinished Buildings of Commercial Real Estate and Problems of Construction Companies” by Thawing from Icebound, “Farmland Used for Buildings and Illegal Clay Brick Production” by Penglai Idler, “Strengthening Urban Planning Administration and Controlling or Demolishing Illegal Buildings” by Evening Snow on Mountains, “Combination of Laws with Network” by Xu Lawyer, “Normalization of Government Management” by Idling Monk, “Speeding up Establishment of a National Sanitary City” by Gramp, “Speeding up development of Railways” by K185 and “Speeding up Pollution Treatment of Shaoshui River” by Torrent of Shaoshui River. Leading officials of the 16 departments of the municipal authorities Wang Changzhong, Liu Yujiang. Chen Wenhua, Yang Xiuwen, and Wang Dasong answered all the questions raised by the net friends.
Gong Wenmi, mayor of Shaoyang, made an important speech. On behalf of the municipal Party Committee and the municipal Government, he thanked all the netizens for their hard work and advice on Shaoyang’s development. Then he pointed out that network politics is what the people want, representing the general trend of the society and so he hoped that all the netizens transmit positive energy of Shaopyang by using the platform of the network. He said he supported all their exposure of unacceptable work of the related departments of the government and would use network politics as a key element of governance. He promised that the municipal government would put network politics into objective management and therefore he hoped that the Network Office of the municipal Party Committee would enhance collecting network information and deliver it to the relevant departments. Finally he stressed that Dashao Net and other network platforms should submit civil wisdoms they collected to the municipal authorities and expose deficiency or unacceptable phenomena in the work of the government, so as to find a way to solve the problems and promote the work of the government departments.
